Collard Tasting

4th graders from JC Lynch grew collards  from October through January. Students watered, weeded, and measured the plants weekly. Local farmers and a weatherman came to speak to the students about important factors in growing the plants. On January 9th, Kelly Meeker from Moore farms came out to JC Lynch to help the kids harvest, clean, and cook the collards. They were scrumptious. The leftover collards were given to cafeteria workers and janitors to show just how much the 4th graders appreciate all they do for our school.
