About our School

At J.C. Lynch Elementary School, we are committed to helping all students develop the world class life skills and career characteristics of the Profile of the South Carolina Graduate.  Wildcats are always LEADing the way, and we expect to be the front of the pack.

Throughout the school year, our students will have the opportunity to participate in several school and district level competitions. These include events such as National History Day, Arbor Day, and ArtFields, just to name a few.

This year, we will have semester awards programs. These will take place in January and May of 2020. We are working to build intrinsic motivation through the development of the Seven Habits through our focus with Leader in Me. Furthermore, we have opened 5 Montessori classes that will continue to grow as the years progress.

In 2016, JC Lynch was the recipient of a School Improvement Grant in the amount of $564,108.00.  This grant has enabled our school to update our wireless infrastructure system, purchase 1 to 1 iPads for students and faculty.  We have also been able to add a number of Chromebooks to our technology inventory. These devices and system updates have enhanced our students’ digital learning experiences, and enable classroom lessons and experiences beyond the traditional classroom experience.  The grant also provided multiple field trip experiences for all of our students.  These field trip experiences have enabled our students to explore and experience authentic learning in action. We are still able to reap the benefits of this grant in the school year 2019-2020.

In addition, JCL continues to utilize Project Lead the Way Science curriculum.  Our school implemented four modules in most grade levels this past year.  These modules provide our students with the opportunity to enhance their problem solving skills by employing the engineering process of designing, testing, and then re-designing based on the results.

This year, we are focusing on "Growing Students: One Habit at a Time." We invite you to work alongside us and help our students grow. We know that we need you to help guarantee our success.

We are looking forward to a great year in 2019-2020!
